Tarrant Population to Exceed Dallas?

If population trends in North Texas continue as they did from 2000 through 2004, Tarrant County's population will surpass that of Dallas County by 2030.

That prediction comes from analysts at the Texas State Data Center, the state arm of the U.S. Census Bureau, assuming that the 2000-04 period reflects fundamental changes in population patterns.

The State forecasts that in 2030 Tarrant County's population will be 2,981,701 compared to a population of 2,860,574 in our neighbor to the east.
