If you like Judge Judy, you'll love Judge Becky. The Fort Worth Star-Telegram says that Fort Worth City Council-Lady Becky Haskin is going to quit the Cowtown City Council next year to run for Justice of the Peace, Precinct 1. The current JP, Barbara Ferrell is not going to run for a new term.

It's not surprising that Cowtown's Chief Busybody would jump at the chance to land a job that would pay her more than the meager wages of a city councilperson to meddle in people's business. What is surprising is that the S-T says she will run for the seat as a Republican. A Republican? Haskin, who never met a government regulation she didn't embrace, and spearheaded the effort to spend tax money on a park for dogs is running as a Republican? This is definitely not Ronald Reagan's Republican Party.
